A couple weeks ago I went to go see my friend Tateki fight at the CES MMA XXIII at Twin River Casino in Rhode Island. I saw him fight last year at a smaller facility but not at a place this large inside a casino.
There were a number of matches before him so I sketched the surrounding environment while waiting for him to show up.
The place was filled with martial arts fighters of all styles.
Then came his turn.
The match lasted 3 rounds and at first it seemed as though his opponent was taking lead.
In the end he won by an unanimous vote! We were all excited!
